Caff Conscious ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Caff Conscious mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.
We are committed to a local-first data philosophy. Your health and log data is stored on your device and may also be included in platform backups you enable. We do not sell your data. We only share data with third parties when necessary for subscription management or when you explicitly choose to contribute to the community database.
To provide the core functionality of the App, we request permission to read and write data to your device's health system (Apple HealthKit on iOS and Health Connect on Android).
We do not transmit your health data to any external servers. All analysis happens locally on your device.
Data regarding what you drink (drink name, size, caffeine amount, and time) is stored locally on your device.
We share data with only the following third-party services, and only for the specific purposes listed below:
We use RevenueCat to manage the "Caff Conscious Pro" subscription, process payments, and handle subscription status across your devices.
The App connects to a product database hosted on Supabase to look up beverage caffeine content by barcode or search query.
We use Google Firebase to improve app stability and understand how features are used. Firebase collects data through two services:
You can opt out at any time. The App provides a toggle in Settings to disable both analytics and crash reporting. When disabled, no data is sent to Firebase. The Crashlytics opt-out takes effect on the next app launch.

Your personal caffeine logs, settings, and health correlations are stored locally on your device in a local database. We do not operate an account-based log-sync service. Copies may exist in device backups managed by Apple or Google when you enable those platform services.
Data accessed from Health Connect and HealthKit is governed by the respective platform's strict privacy standards.
Google Play: Our use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including Limited Use requirements.
Caff Conscious uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to monitor app stability and understand general feature usage. These providers may process app, platform, device, app-install, network, and diagnostic information under their own privacy terms. Caff Conscious does not send the capture payload fields listed above. The separate production Capture Reliability transport remains disabled because the required coarse aggregation and privacy audit have not been completed.
You may disable all analytics and crash reporting at any time via the toggle in the App's Settings screen. When disabled, no usage or crash data is transmitted to any third party.
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any updates.
